Medjool prices are quoted as pack totals: on the list below, RM70 buys one box, RM315 a 5kg pack and RM448 an eight-packet listing. Those figures belong to different pack sizes, so on their own they don't tell you much. If you came here looking for Harga Kurma Medjool in Malaysia, the short answer is that it depends on the pack, and the fair way to compare is ringgit per kilo.
This guide takes one list, the Medjool prices of a Malaysian date wholesaler checked in October 2026, and lines every listing up on that footing. Nothing here is a forecast. It is a snapshot of one seller's list, out-of-stock lines included.
What you are paying for
Medjool originated in Morocco. It is a large, very soft date with a rich caramel taste. Every one of the nine Medjool listings on the October 2026 list is labelled Palestine.
The grade words on those listings (Large, Jumbo, Premium Jumbo, Super Jumbo) are the importer's own size sorting. They are not an international standard, so a "Jumbo" from one seller is not guaranteed to match a "Jumbo" from another. Compare grades within one seller's list, and use the per-kilo figure when you compare across sellers.
The nine listings, cheapest per kilo first
| Grade | Pack | Price (RM) | RM per kg | Stock in October 2026 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Jumbo | 12 × 500g packets (6kg) | 290 | 48.33 | Out of stock |
| Large | 8 × 1kg packets (8kg) | 394 | 49.25 | Out of stock |
| Large | 5kg pack | 250 | 50.00 | Out of stock |
| Premium Jumbo | 5kg pack | 280 | 56.00 | In stock |
| Large | 24 × 250g packets (6kg) | 355 | 59.17 | Out of stock |
| Jumbo | 12 × 500g packets (6kg) | 355 | 59.17 | In stock |
| Jumbo | 8 × 900g packets (7.2kg) | 448 | 62.22 | In stock |
| Super Jumbo | 5kg pack | 315 | 63.00 | In stock |
| Jumbo | 900g box | 70 | 77.78 | In stock |
Prices are the October 2026 prices of one Malaysian date wholesaler. Five listings were in stock and four were not.
Four things the per-kilo column shows
The three lowest per-kilo figures all sit on out-of-stock lines. All three Large listings were out of stock, and so was the RM290 Jumbo listing of 12 × 500g packets. Among the in-stock listings, the floor was the Premium Jumbo 5kg pack at RM280, or RM56 a kilo.
The same grade and format can carry two prices. There are two Jumbo listings of 12 × 500g packets on the list, RM290 and RM355, RM65 apart. Only the dearer one was in stock.
Grade word and price do not line up neatly. The three 5kg packs were Large RM250, Premium Jumbo RM280 and Super Jumbo RM315, while at 6kg, Large in 250g packets and Jumbo in 500g packets were both RM355.
The single box costs the most per kilo. The 900g box works out at RM77.78 a kilo, RM21.78 more than the Premium Jumbo 5kg pack. Across all five in-stock listings the range ran from RM56 to RM77.78 a kilo.
Doing the sum yourself
Read the weight before the price. A label like "12pkt × 500g" means twelve packets of half a kilo, so 6kg in total; divide the price by 6, not by 0.5. A box marked 900g is just under a kilo, so its per-kilo price is a little higher than its sticker.
When you have the per-kilo figures for two sellers side by side, check the grade word last, for the reason above: it is each importer's own sorting. And check stock before you plan around a figure, because on this list the three cheapest per-kilo listings were all out of stock.
Timing matters too. Demand for dates in Malaysia peaks before and during Ramadan, with further peaks around Hari Raya, weddings and kenduri. The list above is an October 2026 snapshot, so recheck it close to when you buy.
